Testimonials

Jay Upchurch
(Chapel Hill)

I played competitive basketball and now have three sons who
love playing the game. Youth Hoops is by far the best instruction and training
for boys or girls learning fundamentals and how to play the game THE right way.
Coach is an outstanding teacher who players of all ages can relate to. My boys
love him and always ask when the next training session is. I cannot recommend
Youth Hoops enough.

Deborah Turrentine
(Moncure)

The coaches are very professional and knowledgeable. They exhibit excellence in teaching the skills necessary for success in playing and excelling in the game of basketball. My grandson has learned a lot about life and basketball from the lessons that are taught.

Roger Seabrook

(Apex)

My experience at youth hoops has been amazing. I have seen my son basketball skills grow tremendously. He is gaining more confidence and skills with every camp he has attended. Coach Berry and the staff really work with the youth to tap their potential.

FAQs

Got Questions? Find Answers to Help Kickstart Your Journey with Youth Hoops!

What age and skill levels is this camp designed for?

Our camp is open to boys and girls ages 6–14 of all skill levels. Whether your child is new to basketball or looking to sharpen their game, we group players by age and ability to ensure everyone is challenged and supported.

What should my child bring each day?

Campers should bring:

- water bottle

- Basketball shoes

- Light snack (optional)

We’ll provide basketballs and all training equipment. Campers receive a Youth Hoops t-shirt as part of the Elite Starter Pack.

Who are the coaches and staff?

Our coaching staff is led by Coach Berry, a veteran youth trainer and high school coach, along with experienced assistants who specialize in skill development and positive reinforcement. All staff are background-checked and trained to provide a safe, encouraging environment.

What happens if my child can't attend one of the days?

While we encourage full participation, we understand that things come up. If your child misses a day, we’ll help them catch up on drills and ensure they’re integrated back into team activities the following day.

How do I register and reserve an Elite Starter Pack?

Simply click the "Register Now" button on this page or visit www.youthhoops.com/apex. The Elite Starter Pack is limited to the first 20 registrants, so we encourage early sign-up to secure all bonus items.

Will Elijah Davis be available to meet the kids?

Yes! Elijah Davis, current UNC player and former Youth Hoops camper, will be making a special guest appearance on Tuesday, August 5. He’ll speak to the campers, answer questions, and be available for photos and autographs β€” a great moment of inspiration for every young athlete in attendance.
